| I will try announcing the raid now - see if we get more people, the problem is that if I call a poll, the actual date isn't set till a few days before hand. So I'll call it then, a blackarrow raid on snowbourne next sunday at 7:00 GMT. | |

| OK I was in a raid lead by the warg Crasher. At first it was alright, there wasn't much challenge since freeps where demoralised and we had 2 zerg raids.
Eventually creeps boiled down to 1 raid and a few, we let the freeps take lug out of goodness and here is where things went downhill.
The raid was very awfully made up, a lot of wargs, ba's, not many warleaders but freep were not really actively assisting. This guy Crasher insisted people should run past freeps, for example if you were in the main room downstairs and the rest of freeps where in the corridor to the stairs, he wanted the raid to push to the stairs and force freeps to retreat to the top.
I can understand what he is trying to do but for the raid setup there was no proper frontline, a pack of wargs isn't a frontline, there was simply no viable way to achieve what he wanted. To push freep back up the stairs you not only need to advance, you must apply pressure to force this. Wargs and BAs cannot apply this pressure like reavers can, reavers are the backbone of creep dps.
I know we're doing a BA raid but someday we must show these guys the power of 10+ reavers assisting, it's was so sad because that fight for lug would have been extremely easy in Laurelin.
I'm starting tp think the success of Laurelin is due to the number of reaver players we have. | |

| Aye - laurelin is a very Melee-centric server, compared to these, where the pewpew is king. Laurelin was like that once, I remember I was the only creep in melee at times - I died alot . Now, it's reversed, mainly due to the fact that our main leaders are melee classes, and people have started to appreciate that once you get the reavers in, you win. | |
